In our life we all pass through different phases, sometimes we feel good sometimes we feel bad. But its all part of life, there is always a morning after a night and so on. If we dont feel darkness then we can not enjoy light. I could take an example of piano that has black and white buttons. When somebody plays piano we enjoy because the sound piano generates comes from using both white and black buttons combination. Life is like a piano only.. both buttons needs to work together then only we enjoy life.
But.. when things go wrong u feel like somebody is playing piano with black buttons (assuming black represents grief and sorrow) only and u feel down.
U feel like whatever u try to come out of that phase, it puts u more deeper and deeper in same phase. U start feeling alone.. u start looking to somebody to listen and soon u realize that ur friends and relatives started keeping distance with u because there was a change in ur behavior.. without knowing ur side ur friends started moving away from u and with all these u become loser.
Surprisingly u found that nothing is working for you, it started affecting everything including your personal and professional life both.What I feel, in general if you see any of your friend’s behavior is something that is not expected and you are sure that he can’t behave like that. That means ur friend is in trouble and he needs ur support immediately, it may happen that he may not want to talk to u and behaves differently but being a friend u should know why is he behaving like that? u should listen to him quietly and should help him to get out of bad phase.
Friends are precious and we should not lose them just because they did something wrong with. If u feel like this then it would be nice if u could just remember the good things that he did for u and I am sure.. the very next moment u will forget everything. If somebody is your friend with 90% good qualities then you should ready to accept the remaining bad 10% too.
Nobody is perfect.. but Who knows, u may able to make him close to perfect.
An Apple in the Bag
A teacher teaching Maths to seven-year-old Arnav asked him, “If I give you one apple and one apple and one apple, how many apples will you have?” Within a few seconds Arnav replied confidently, “Four!”
The dismayed teacher was expecting an effortless correct answer (three). She was disappointed. “Maybe the child did not listen properly,” she thought. She repeated, “Arnav, listen carefully. If I give you one apple and one apple and one apple, how many apples will you have?” Arnav had seen the disappointment on his teacher’s face. He calculated again on his fingers. But within him he was also searching for the answer that will make the teacher happy. His search for the answer was not for the correct one, but the one that will make his teacher happy. This time hesitatingly he replied, “Four…”
The disappointment stayed on the teacher’s face. She remembered that Arnav liked strawberries. She thought maybe he doesn’t like apples and that is making him loose focus. This time with an exaggerated excitement and twinkling in her eyes she asked, “If I give you one strawberry and one strawberry and one strawberry, then how many you will have?” Seeing the teacher happy, young Arnav calculated on his fingers again. There was no pressure on him, but a little on the teacher. She wanted her new approach to succeed. With a hesitating smile young Arnav enquired, “Three?”
The teacher now had a victorious smile. Her approach had succeeded. She wanted to congratulate herself. But one last thing remained. Once again she asked him, “Now if I give you one apple and one apple and one more apple how many will you have?” Promptly Arnav answered, “Four!”
The teacher was aghast. “How Arnav, how?” she demanded in a little stern and irritated voice. In a voice that was low and hesitating young Arnav replied, “Because I already have one apple in my bag.”
Moral- “When someone gives you an answer that is different from what you expect don’t think they are wrong. There maybe an angle that you have not understood at all. You will have to listen and understand, but never listen with a predetermined notion.”
Expectation.. a big word.. and has a big definition too. I believe its a root cause of broken relationship. This can be observed in any kind of relationship either its friendship, love or whatever you think. Why do we expect?
No expectation .. no relationship.. no social network. Its just next to impossible that you control yourself and do not expect anything from others.
If we are able to meet someones expectations then we can always be assured to be in good words of others and if we are not then..
Expectation needs to be defined.. you need to draw a circle inside which you put people to whom you can expect and also meet theirs expectation too. These circled people surely deserve your care and love and the same you can expect from them. You feel deeply hurt if something happens that you do not expect from them.
But that is always acceptable, because you are the one who draw the circle and put them close to you. And its all part of learning.. life is full of ups and downs. However, its assured that people outside your circle can’t steal your smile, can’t make an impact on your personal life. I strongly believe one should define his own expectations first and then meet the expectations of others.
When words fails to express something, that something get expressed by silence. An expression with silence does the magic.
Its something becoming speechless.. I personally felt the power of becoming speechless. When we want to say something and find it difficult to say in words and we became speechless with an expression on face that says more than words do and greatly affecting the person to whom we were saying. The other person get to know everything whatever we want to say in words at that moment. Thats the magic of being speechless.
I am sure everyone might have felt in his life at some point of time being speechless.
The principle of forgiveness is commonly taught in both traditional religions and secular philosophies as being an important virtue. We are supposed to forgive others because that makes us better people, while failing or refusing to forgive supposedly means that we are giving in to baser and more violent instincts. Is this true? Why and in what sense is forgiveness something we should value and strive for?

Being practical or emotional?
I have noticed a general trend where people talk about somebody saying that he is emotional or practical. Everyone has his own way of thinking of judging people based on attitude. Attitude.. matters a lot. It takes ages to change attitude of a person, what I believe that attitude changes only in cases where something happens that impacts someones thinking greatly.
In general people do think that an emotional person is good at heart and at the same time they also add that it will ultimately put him in trouble. When it comes to being practical that adds lots of calculation forcing you to think about yourself first then about the rest. In other words when you think you are going to be practical that means you are going to be limited. Limited in your circle, limited in your thoughts, limited in your expectations too. Emotional people put others in trouble just because they expect a lot to the persons to whom they are attached. This ultimately results in making other person uncomfortable and also at the same time emotional person feels like deeply hurt without analyzing his own expectations which actually puts him in this situation. In general we find emotional people easy to talk, helping and kind hearted too. It doesn’t mean that if you are practical then you do not have these qualities, you have but you use your brain first before making any decision. I think, I got the one important difference in being emotional or practical that is emotional person thinks from heart and practical from brain.
Well, so which one is good? being practical or emotional? My answer would be: we must draw a line, till what point one should be practical and after that emotional. That means depending on circumstances one should decide and I am sure if your able to draw a line between emotionality and practically then rest is assured.
